I see Guild Wars like a card game. You are dealt a hand to play with, if you like your cards you continue to play, if not you fold and wait for the next hand.

Who cares anymore? Just let the little children have their Ursan and SF, the game is already messed up beyond repair anyway.

You want to see the level of intelligence and maturity required to pwn in this game anymore, just check out all the "QQMORE~!!" and lolcat posts in this thread.

This game has been a pathetic joke now for at least a year and a half.

I want them to actually make the game a game again instead of constantly kowtowing to all the whiny babies who are constantly on about farming, SF, Ursan, and various perceived PvP-related slights.

This constant game of whack-a-mole they're playing with all the crybabies has removed everything that made Guild Wars stand out from the MMO crowd.

I couldn't agree more.

Except in GW, apparently you can also scream at the dealer and fall on the floor holding your breath and flailing your arms and legs in a violent tantrum until you get new cards or the dealer takes cards away from someone else.

edit: then get pissed off that your new cards aren't as good as your old ones and throw another tantrum.

But I have an even simpler solution - just offer a stackable xunlai coin that can be both bought and sold at the xunlai agent for exactly 5k. It would completely eliminate ectos and zaishen keys as a means of transferring wealth and at the same time raise the amount of cash storage can hold without requiring any change to the game engine at all.

We would still have the occasional ultra pricey minipet that might require armbraces but that's a pretty minor issue.

People could still farm all the ectos they want but they would be only good for crafting the items they were intended for.

So who of you will be directly affected one way or the other by a SF buff?

SF does no damage. It speeds up PvE and allows those who want Elite armor to get it very quickly. Those who farm with it used different (and just-as-easy) farming builds beforehand. If Ectos went down to 1k because of SF, who would care? Suddenly the Elite have lost their grip on high-end weapons and have to rely on another material to hoard. Everyone else enjoys being rich and buying nice stuff.

Will this drive the prices of rare weapons up? Yes! But guess what? We can farm them ourselves and actually earn them!

SF has no impact on general PvE play. It you tried to be a perma-SF dagger 'sin, you'd be pretty weak due to attribute spread and the lack of skill slots. At the high-end level, SF would only have an impact if Ursan was nerfed. Even then, it's between SF and Obs for use in teams.

people would whine about that idea because the secound it get implimented, all the horded ecto will get sold for the new stable currency. The rich would loss alot of wealth when ecto go from 3k- 1k in a matter of minutes.

Merged the two SF threads. We don't need two.

No effect, does no damage... You really enjoy having no economy, challenge or anything worthwhile?

Even if you did that they would FIND SOMETHING NEW TO QQ about, it's an endless cycle, I ignore it, the game I play with guildies so we can LOL is what will they QQ about next? once Ursan gets hit we voted Consets will be the next on the QQers chopping block.

What economy?

How does this affect other areas of the game?

Very good news. The SF Nerf really did nothing to prevent Chaos Plains from being farmed but it did KILL all other SF Boss farming in general. It also killed the ability for Elementalists to effectively use SF to farm because an Ele can't keep SF up Perma. Good news!

QFT.

They needed to slow down chaos plains, not everything else.

Off topic:
Wow, some of you people are just...out there. Funny shit, glad I put my soda down!

On topic:
I have no issues with shadowform being buffed, reverted, adjusted, etc. For those that don't like the skill....don't use it.

Changes to the Chaos Plains can 'kill' the sin ecto farming, although I personally don't care one way or the other. I admit I've done a few of those runs, but 12 ectos later I was falling sleep and could care less. I much prefer going with guildies, allies, and even some pugs to do it old school style or full ursan. Its much more fun that soloing.

If shadowform is buffed, it just means I can use my sin to farm sentient spores and mandragor roots again. And of course the various greens I'm after.

Either way I really don't worry about it much. If I need it, I'll use it. If I don't like it, I won't. It's called adapting and moving on. After all, its just one skill.

Before I say anything, can I ask a really stupid question?

I won't wait for your answer; I'll just ask that question now:

What does "RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO" mean? It seems kind of stupid, really... Answer me that question and flame me for being an "Internet newb", or whatever the heck you guys call it...

As for Shadow Form, I don't use it, and so I won't be affected by any of it (although, if it becomes useful to me, I shall try it out).

This will not Destroy the Economy since the dev is stating that Sin farmers will have the same drops as other Ectos farming build, so even if 1 million SF farmers return the drop rates will be so bad it's gonna stop some of them.........the current drop rate of Ectos in Chaos field has made me Quit farming there.
